Crossley Heath and North Halifax Grammar School visits

Posted by Craig Whittaker MP on April 23, 2012

I recently visited Crossley Heath School 6th Form assembly for a Q&A session with their 6th Formers.  As with all my visits to High Schools, it is an excellent opportunity for students to engage with the political process - and many are far more articulate than many of my colleagues in the House of Commons!  It also gave me an opportunity to tour the school and look at how they achieve the excellent results they do.

It was also an honour to be the guest Speaker at North Halifax Grammar School’s annual prize giving recently where 100% of students last year achieved 5 x A* to C at GCSE level including Maths and English.  The students were recognised for their many achievements and we were entertained by the school’s excellent orchestra.
